Rules for Submission of Papers

  • Accepted papers will be framed in 2 modalities poster (electronic) presentation

The Scientific Committee may change the form of submission of approved papers.  It will be up to the main author to submit in the form chosen by the Scientific Committee (if different from the form of submission) or withdraw the work.

Deadline for submission of papers: 11.59pm 9 September 2018 (Extended)

The author who will present the work must be enrolled in the event and with the registration paid to submit the work.

Payments made with credit cards have immediate automatic release, online.

Payments made through cheque, deposit or bank transfer depend on compensation and information from banks.  In these modalities the payment should be made until 18/09/2018 so that there is sufficient time for compensation and low in system.

Format for submission:

Title: should be written in capital letters.

Author and co-authors: should start with surnames, followed by the initials of the names, separated by commas.  Limit of 6 co-authors.  In addition the institution of all must be informed.

  • The writing of the texts should be divided onto items:
  • Introduction / Objectives
  • Materials, Casuistry and Methods
  • Results  / Discussion
  • Conclusion.

Maximum text size: 3,000 characters and spaces (not including title, authors and institutions).

There is no limit to abstracts per author but no more than one abstract based on the same research paper will be accepted.

The limit of authors for each work:
1 author and up to 6 co-authors.  The presenter should be responsible for submitting the work.

The author can declare his presentation option (poster or video).  The Scientific Committee will follow the author’s choice whenever possible.

After submitting the work, the author will receive the confirmation through the contract email informed in the application.  This confirmation message is the guarantee that the job was submitted correctly.  If you do not receive the email with the submission confirmation, the author should contact the secretariat immediately and before the submission deadline.

The acceptance status of the work will be made available until September 18, 2018.

The submission of the work represents a definitive commitment of the author(s) to present the work, if accepted, during the ASRS 2018 and allow its exhibition (video) on the ASRS 2018 website.

Only one certificate will be issued for each accepted and submitted work.  It will contain the name of the author and all co-authors.

Successful authors presenting at the Congress are eligible for the following awards:

The power point or video according to the configurations below for presentation in all modalities.

Poster (electronic) Presentation format

Power point should be prepared with:

  • slide show in automatic mode
  • maximum duration: 7 minutes (to be presented in power point loop mode)
  • maximum file size: 100 MB (portrait format) in a banner 16: 9 (presentation of the screen)

As a suggestion the work should have 8 to 12 slides and contemplating:

  • Title + Authors + Service: 1 slide
  • Presentation + Introduction + Objective: 1 to 3 slides
  • Methodology: 2 to 3 slides
  • Results: 3 to 4 slides
  • Discussion: 1 to 2 slides
  • Conclusion:  1 slide.

Video Presentation
The video should conform to these settings:

  • maximum duration: 7 minutes
  • maximum file size: 700 MB

Recommended proportions:

  • 4 x 3 – with resolution 480 x 360
  • 16 x 9 – with resolution 640 x 360

Formats: mp4 / wmv / mpg / mpeg / avi / flv.
