Dr Tan Teck Wei
Dr Tan Teck Wei is a Consultant urological surgeon at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. In addition to providing general urology care, his subspecialty interest in the management of urological cancers, including that of the prostate, bladder, kidney, testis and penis.
After graduating from the National University of Singapore, Dr Tan went on to obtain his postgraduate qualifications of Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and Master of Medicine (Surgery). He then completed Advanced Specialty Training in urology at both Tan Tock Seng Hospital and Singapore General Hospital and was accredited as a specialist in urology by the Ministry of Health. He was also inducted as a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. Along the way, he won a number of awards including the European Board of Urology Book Prize and the College of Surgeons Gold Medal for being the best urology trainee.
Dr Tan is also active in humanitarian work and was part of the Republic of Singapore Navy medical team which worked with the Indonesian Navy to provide surgical care and primary healthcare to Padang in 2008 and Ambon in 2010.
